The Average Cost of Laser Hair Removal
The American society of plastic surgeons recently released a rough guide to the price of laser hair removal They stated that the average cost for laser hair removal was $429 across the US. This is the average price per treatment of which multiple are normally needed. However we find that this varies greatly on the part of the country you decide to seek treatment, coupled with the individual physician or clinic you choose to attend.
What also plays a huge factor is that many hair removal clinics offer package prices for the treatments, which can save you a nice chunk of money on the long run.
The Total Cost of Laser Hair Removal
As you have probably twigged from the fact that multiple treatments are needed the overall laser hair removal cost goes up the more treatments you have, we have found that an average person needs 5 treatments, which puts the overall cost of laser hair removal at roughly $2125. As you can see the price soon mounts up.
Obviously the number of treatments needed will depend greatly on the individual, we find that this varies between 3 and 10 treatments, the lower side being more common. Before you decide how much yours will cost be sure to consult the clinic of your choice and see just how many treatments they think you can expect.
Laser Hair Removal Cost for Different Parts of the Body
The cost of laser hair removal will vary greatly depending on the area you are wanting hair to be removed from. Why this varies so much we have yet to find out exactly but we believe it’s down to two factors, the usual density and thickness of the hair in the area, and the size of the area.
We found that facial laser hair removal costs seem to be the most expensive; this includes area of the neck. The average price for one treatment came in at around $500 to $1000. Our honest opinion is that this price is more due to the area being exposed so people are more desperate but this is entirely speculation. This price was matched by the cost to remove back hair.
The cheapest procedure we could find was mainly aimed at women and was the under arm and bikini laser hair removal cost. Both these procedures can in at an average of between $300 and $550. Which is thankfully a little more affordable that some of the other areas.
We found that the laser hair removal cost for the legs came in to half’s, they charge separately to remove hair from the lower legs and the upper legs, both treatments coming in at a rough costs of $550 to $800.
Finally we have the cost of laser hair removal for the arm and chest which was a bit more satisfying $350 to $550. Please note that all these costs listed are simply the average price of doctor’s fees and the overall treatment could end up costing you slightly more when you factor in any miscellaneous costs tallied up along the way.
